When I use the mid function to return a specific character in an alpha numeric string it works fine. But when I copy it to the rest of the cells in the column it continues to return the result from the 1st cell even though it shows the correct formula when you highlight each specific cell.
Any suggestions?
Go to Tools|Options and in the Calculation tab ensure that Automatic is selected in the top portion.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
