    Conditional formatting coloring dates

    Hello,

From yesterday BigBas was able to provide me an excellent piece that allows me to have a drop down list of dates. These dates are everyday for three years however the drop-down menu only shows from today and back 3 weeks (updated to the todays date every time the sheet gets recalculated).
The list is on one sheet and the drop down is on another sheet.

BTW, This is to track my time.

What I want here is to have say the first 5 days colored in green, 5 days back from that orange, and 5 days back from that red.

This would show me which responsibility has not been worked on in so many days; as there are many tasks in this particular excel sheet there is a great chance I can miss a day on something.

How can I do this while retaining the dynamic aspect of the dates changing, meaning, lets say today a task is on its 5 day (green), when i open up the schedule tomorrow it should automaticlly switch to orange (6th day).

I know this has to do with conditional formatting but I am a bit lost as to how to write this.

    Thanks for any help

Select the cells and go to Format|Conditional Formatting....

Condition 1: Cell Value Is >> Greater than or equal to >> =Today()-5

Click Format and choose green from Pattern tab

    Click Ok.

    Click Add

Condition 2: Cell Value Is >> Greater than or equal to >> =Today()-10

Click Format and choose orange from Pattern tab

    Click Ok.

    Click Add

Condition 3: Cell Value Is >> Greater than or equal to >> =Today()-15

Click Format and choose red from Pattern tab

    Click Ok.

    Click Ok.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
