Retrieving latest info from a website

    Hi,

I have a column of premises names in excel. The names reflect businesses that may or may not be listed on a website. Ratehr than going into the search part of a website everytime, I would like to be able to trigger a search through excel and have it check if any details are found.

    The site is http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/index.php

The column in excel is just a list of random names which may appear on the site.

I have been trying to find a way to do this for a while. Appreciate any support.

    thanks

    Lancsthorn.

    Hello Lancashirethorn,

I went to the website, and viewed the HTML code. The only ways to access information are by clicking the links, or using Quick Search. I am not sure I understand how you will check the business names in Excel against the site without using Quick Search. Can you provide more information, and examples of what you want to do?

    Thanks,
    Leith Ross

The only way I think this is possible is by using VBA.

Is that what you are looking for?

If so we'll need more information.

Like Leith I visited the site and you will have to enter information then submit the form.

    Then there's the disclaimer.

    Hi,

Thanks for the response. I am happy to use VBA but not sure where to start. Imagine I have a list of premises in column a, like, fries ltd, pies ltd and sausage and mash inc. I would then like to press a button, and its searches the site to see if any matches?

    thanks

    Lt.
