Hiding Row when column is completed

    Hi there

I'm hoping someone will know the answer to this as I thought I new but it doesn't seem to be working.

I have a spreadsheet where one of the headers is 'Allocated to'. Once a name is put in there I would like it hidden when I reopen it next time round. I thought it would be a quick autofilter, then filter on Blanks but when I open the workbook up it is still there.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.

    Many thanks

    Vivecat:

I suggest setting up a macro to "refresh" your filtered list whenver you close the workbook. I used the following:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Right-click on any tab and choose "view code"
Right-click on the filename for your spreadsheet and choose insert-module.
    Paste in the above code

NOTE - My filtered list was in A:B. Column B was the one where I wanted it to filter everything that wasn't (blank). You will need to modify the above code slightly to fit your situation

NOTE2 - Because the macro is called "Auto_Close" it will, by default, run when you close Excel.
