print my two columns along the left hand side of the page and continue on the right h

    hi:
I have a database with two columns, and they go on for hundreds of rows. Is there a way to print in Excel that allows a page to be filled before going on to the next page? In other words, I would like to be able to print my two columns along the left hand side of the page and continue on the right hand side of the page before starting on a new page.
    hope this makes sense
    thanks

    Hello Mimmo52,

There is no function to condense your data automatically so that a page is filled with data across the sheet when it is printed. It would require some VBA code to reformat your workbook to print it that way.

    Sincerely,

Not very elegant, but you could use Word, create a multiple column document, and then copy/paste the cells from the spreadsheet in as formatted text (use Paste Special).

Always in favour of solutions which save trees!

saw a bit of vba on ozgrid exactly for doing this with 2 rows. cant find it at the mo but it'll be in my history at work.

the vba at the end was the one that worked for that user, BUT, it may not work for your version of excel , then again someone here should be able to fix it.
