Retrieving cell Values using a Hyperlink.......

Here's the deal, at work we have financials for projects going on at different locations which need to be linked into one master spreadsheet.

This is being done manually by going into the master spreadsheet, placing an = sign in the appropriate field and linking it into the project financials.

There are several of these files that are going to need this and I am hoping that there is an easier way. Any suggestions???

Yes, this should have all been done in MS Access.

Your idea should work, but I'm afraid usage of many hyperlinks would be cumbersome

The hyperlink is in cell C6

    Cell D6 Has:
    =Hyperlink(C6)Sheet1 CellN100

I need cell D6 to give me the value for cell N100 in the hyperlink.

I have to link numerous files and I think just inserting a hyperlink would make life so much easier.

    Thanks.

Not very much clear what exactly you want.
Do you want to show the value of N100 in D6 and turn D6 in a hyperlink? but where that hyperlink should take to you when clicked?

I have a spreadsheet that's pulling information from several other spreadsheets and what I am trying to do is having to avoid going from the master spreadsheet, entering an equal sign in a cell and going to the spreadsheet where the information is being drawn from.

I was hoping I could go into cell A1 in the master sheet and inserting the hyperlink and draw the information from the hyperlinks that have been inserted in the master sheet via a formula.

Cell B1 (master sheet) would draw information from the hyperlink in A1(hyperlink inserted in cell A1)

Cell B1 (master sheet) would have something like =Hyperlink(A1)Sheet1'A36 drawing the information from the hyperlink for a specific cell

Cell C1 would have something like =Hyperlink(A1)Sheet1'A37 drawing the information from the hyperlink for a specific cell

Cell D1 would have something like =Hyperlink(A1)Sheet1'A40 drawing the information from the hyperlink for a specific cell

Cell A2 would have a hyperlink for a different file in the master sheet.
    Cell B2 would have =Hyperlink(A2)Sheet1'A36

In other words, I am inserting a hyperlink to a file on the network onto the master file. Cells will draw information from the cell with the hyperlink from a specific tab/cell. Is this possible? what can I do??/
