Can't amend drop-down menu (forms)

I've been given an excel file from work that has a drop-down selection menu in it. The drop-down isn't data validation so I assume it must be a forms object. The list selection list needed updating so I updated the name (insert>name>define) to make sure it included all lines. It still didn't pull through. I'm unable to right click on or select the object (even though no protection seems to exist in the file) and there are no recorded macros that I can see. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can try to update the selection list for the drop-down menu? Many thanks

That combo box is from the controlls toolbar, view the controls tool bar and select design mode
you will then be able to work with the control
