    Hiding color-specific rows

    Hello all

Let's say I have 100 rows with 5 columns of data. 10 rows are yellow, 30 are brown, 40 are red and the rest are green. The same colored rows are not necessarily "banded" together. That is, there might be 2 yellow, then 1 red, then 5 green, then 1 yelow, etc.

How can I show only a particular colored rows? Let's say I want to show only yellow rows? Or I want to show only red and yellow rows? If I want to show 2 colors, then how can I band all red together and all yellow together under the red ones?

    Thx for reading my post.

    Good afternoon ady_mech

The easiest way to do this would be to use a third party add-in that will allow you filter by coloured rows. Ron de Bruins EasyFilter is one such add-in, and it's free. You can download it from here :

thanks Dominic. I downloaded the add-in and tried it out. It works partly.
I made Rows A-C green, then a few rows red, then a few rows green, then a few black. Then I selected A1 cell, right-clicked and brought up add-in and selected color tab. Then I selected Filter Interior color and selected the color of A1 (green). Then I seeleted Hide Rows and then Go. It hid all green rows except the row for A1 (also green).

Howver, if I select any other cell which doesn't have the color of A1 (ie any non-green cell), then it works fine.

    Can you help me here?
    thx

PS: I couldn't install ASAP utilities as the free version is not allowed for commercial institutions.
