I made a major change to an excel spreadsheet which I intended to save under another name. Apparently I didn't. Now I've lost the info from my original spreadsheet. Is there any way to recover it?

If you didn't save a backup copy of the file, or if the file wasn't saved on a server with a nightly (or similar) backup process, then there's a 99.99% chance your original file is lost forever.
