Linking to CSVs

Hi

I have a CSV that has >500000 rows, which Excel 2003 cannot open. That wouldn't be a problem if I could just MATCH and INDEX on this, (or similar) in another spreadsheet that just points to it.
However it seems to fail.

I am guessing this is due to the 65535 rows problem with 2003.

Is there any way around this.

One option would be to use XL 2007
Maybe Access but I'm not quite sure
