    Strange cell behaviour

    Hi,

something really strange is happening to me in a worksheet I´ve been working for a while.

Since yesterday in some cells alone when I insert a formula, instead if calculating the formula, the text of the formula remains in it without doing anything.

For example in Cell A1 if I insert =2*3 I get the cell value to change to 6 but in others the cell value stays "=2*3" without calculating it. This happens with any formula I try to insert. If then I copy the format of one of the "strange" cells to one of the "good" cells, the "good" cell becomes a "Strange" cell.

    Help!

Try going to Edit|Replace and put an = sign in both the find and replace with fields. Click Replace All.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Hi,

It changed 45.000 signs but didnt solve the problem.

After some more testing: in some cells, even when I copy the format of good cells to strange cells, strange cells stay strange. And vice versa... After copying strange cells format to good cells, good cells stay good.

    Weird

Try selecting a column and going to Data|Text to Columns and clicking Finish.

If it works repeat for all other columns (one at a time, unfortunately).
