Format problem

I keep my golf scores and totals for 18 holes and all of a sudden it will not enter as whole number but shows 2 decimal digits. When i go to see the function it shows zero decimals which is what i want
but when i enter new score for that hole it makes a 5 into .05.
I usually copy one line and insert then add new scores.
I use excell 2000 whic has been working fine until now.

That doesn't help mutch. Would you attach the workbook as requested and indicate which cell is formatting incorrectly?
