Move workbooks with pivot tables & external data

I have created a workbook with a pivot table whose data source is a table in an Access database. MS query was invoked when I built it. What I want to know, is, if I want to move it to a network drive and let others be able to access it and use the pivot table, how to I go about it without losing the link to the Access database? Or how do I re-linkk it? I don't want to have to start over on every one's computer, of course.

Why dont you move your access table to a network point and link your sheet to the database in the network.

How to refresh the pivot table if no access to network available.

Thank you for the reply - I finally figured out how do that - but - I am not sure what happens if someone has no access to that network share. If I had to provide a copy for them, how would I refresh the data from that standpoint? Would I have to start from scratch with the pivot table wizard and MS query the way I did it in the first place?

Your job is to link the sheet to the database. You then pick a folder in the shareed network.

Permissions can be added to individual users for individual folders in the network... but that should be your network administratorīs job. he/she can create a group that would have permission to access that folder.
