I am creating a league table,
and have a list of fixtures with scores included.
beside the scores are the points given for a win,draw or loss.
(see attatchment)
i simply want to add the points (3,1,0) for each team, to the table text to the fixture list.
i've tried many IF an SUMIF statements, but all have been unsuccessful,
can anyone help?

Try SUMPRODUCT, put this in L10
=SUMPRODUCT(--($C$5:$C$34=K10)*(--($D$5:$D$34=3))) copy down
and in M10
=SUMPRODUCT(--($C$5:$C$34=K10)*(--($D$5:$D$34=1))) copy down
and in N10
=SUMPRODUCT(--($C$5:$C$34=K10)*(--($D$5:$D$34=0))) copy down

Just had to put some quote marks on the 3,1 and 0 and it worked a treat
Glad you got it to work, your "numbers" must be formatted to TEXT if you are using quotes otherwise it works without quotes.
