    Continuous Date Columns

I would like to establish several years worth of monthly date column headings
    ----for example 01/2005 02/2005 03/2005 etc.

Is it possible to establish the first date and then copy and paste the remaining dates across columns automatically.

Typing 10 years worth of dates manually would be tedious.

    Thanks.

Try putting in the first two (as dates). I.e. in A1 enter the date 1-Jan-2005 and in B1 1-Feb-2005. Format both as required, i.e. mm/yyyy and then select both dates and drag across

An alternative is to put the first date in A1 and use this formula in B1 copied across

    =DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1)+1,1)

Now you can simply change the first date and all the others will update automatically....

    Try:
    Type your first date.
    Select the entire row
Ctrl+Select the cell with the first date
Then: Edit > Fill > Series,
then select rows, select type = date, select unit=month, enter your step value and stop value
