Ok, so I figured out how to calculate the difference between two times and have the results dislayed as a number. However, if 5:00pm is my number in A2 and 12:30pm is my number in A1 the formula in A3 is "=HOUR(A2-A1)" and produces the result 4.00, rather than 4.50. Does anyone know how to get it to recognize half hours?

Try:
=(A2-A1)*24
Where there is a will there are many ways.
