Need help with a exercise

just new to this forum, sorry if i have placed this in the wrong spot

the instructions are pretty vague and i'm not sure what formulas to use

anyway this is what i've been given (can't seem to make the picture display

anyway if somebody can help start me off with this that will be much appreciated

i have attached the spreadsheet needed in answering this.. i'm not sure if i need to use a VLOOKUP or a SUMIF formula
