    Dbase Files and Excel 2007

Can anyone tell me how to save Excel 2007 spreadsheets in Dbase format now the idiots at Microsoft have (apparently) removed the function.

    Thank you,

    Ian

Read the Excel 2007 file and create a dbf...

We've found the same problem recently, and have used the following code to read the file and create a dbf (in VFP). Maybe this method will work for you.
    Code is VFP.

    Dbase files in Excel 2007

Hi Mike, and thank you for your very comprehensive response.

Unfortunately I am but a lowly user of Excel and wouldn't know where to start in making use of your suggestion.

I was hoping that someone would know of an "Add-on" package or a "User" based workaround in Excel.

Thank you anyway for your offer of help. Who knows, maybe Microsoft wil come to their senses and restore this function.

    Kind regards,

    Ian
