Formula that will apply to entire column???

I'm a total rookie on excel, so I can't figure it out. I have a formula that will take away the first nine characters in cell A3. This is the formula:
=RIGHT(A3, LEN(A3)-9)

But what I WANT the formula to do is remove the first nine characters in ALL of column A. (A1, A2, A3, etc)

Can someone please help me?

Use the fill handle to drag the formula down

when you click on the cell with the formula in it, you will see a little black square at the bottom right corner of the cell, you can click and drag that square down or up and it will copy the formula...and thereby taking the 9 digits from each corresponding cell in column A
