Changing dat in a cell depending on an adjacent drop down list

I have a drop down list in A1 and I want the value in A2 to change depending on which item I choose in the drop down list. The drop down list has items (apple, orange, grape) and I want the second cell to display the price of the item based on a list elsewhere on the spreadsheet.

If the list of items that can possibly appear in A1 is in C1:C3 and the prices are in D1:D3, B1 can be =VLOOKUP(A1,C1:D3,2,False)
