    Performing sums based on duplicate data

    Here's the table I'll be playing with http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/461/helpmekq8.jpg

    Now, imagine the data inputted is random, I don't know if a persons name will appear more than once, or maybe even 3 or 4 times... what I need is to get the 3rd column (Total) to somehow =IF there are more than one person, add them together, otherwise, just display their singular total.


    My heads spinning... did that make sense?

    Assuming your data starts in A2:

    =IF(COUNTIF($A2:$A$10,A2)>1,"",SUMIF($A$2:A2,A2,$B$2:B2))

    copied down.

    Note: Please change the A$10, to match your last row number
