Formula to calculate hours worked

Need formula for cell D4 that returns the hours (in whole hours & decimal of hours) by subtracting cell B4 (end time) from cell A4 (start time) both of which are formatted Time (1:30 PM) and subtracting cell C4 (Lunch time). For Example:

=(B1 - A1 - "1:15") * 24

Thanks for your help. However, with the formula, I get the answer 1.15 instead of 7.75. Do I need to format cell D4 any particular way that may change the result? mikeburg

How about

=24*(B4-A4-C4/24) and format D4 as General?
