Inserting Rows on a Protected Sheet

    Hi everyone,

I am trying to allow people to insert rows on a sheet that I need to password protect. Here is the catch: I only want to be able to allow the users to insert rows in a certain part of the sheet, not anywhere in the sheet. The standard method of selecting the option won't work because of this. Is it possible to do this?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Unlock only the cells in the range you want to allow for inserting rows. Then when you protect the sheet you select only "select unlocked cells" and "insert rows" (uncheck the "select locked cells" option) then the user will not be able to select any rows in the forbidden range, and can then not insert rows there.
