Greetings,
I posted this same question over at:

I am looking to create a calculator and chart based on this online calc: http://www.finance.cch.com/sohoapple...stmentdebt.asp

I don't want to mimic it, since it's flawed in a few respects.

1) The online calc is bascially taking a few debts and rolling them into a new loan. The difference in payments is what makes the loan portion of the chart work, meaning that the extra savings in cash flow can be directed towards an investment or used to pay down the loan (the slider functions).

2) The chart shows, based on where the numbers are in the slider, what the performance of the loan and the investment would be in a certain amount of time.

Here's what I need: Instead of merely computing existing debts and automatically creating a loan based on those numbers, I can easily create an amortization schedule based solely on the loan and whatever extra savings I want to apply to it. I think I can also adjust for the "percent to invest" and "rate of return" fields with static cells. However...

The portion of the calc that I can't figure out is how to make the investment numbers work with the results of the calculator. Also, how do I create a combination chart that is reflective of the results and the "percent to invest" and "rate of return" fields.

If anyone has a comparable spreadsheet that can help guide me, or any thoughts on how to make this work, I'd greatly appreciate it!

THANKS in advance,
Jonathan S.
