Paste Special+decimal Places

hi guys

i have a problem in which i have some product codes

like this

456.4
622.2
622.3
625.100
625.120
625.65
625.8
629.3
629.50
629.55
629.60

as you can see some have one decimal place and some have 2 and some 3 etc etc

now the problem is that if i copy form sheet 3 and paste special into sheet 1 it will format any number put into it 3 decimal places

so if i were to copy and paste code 625.120 it would do just that

but if i do 625.8 it will put 625.800 how can i stop this as i only want what it should be as code 625.800 is actually another part

Hi,

Try this select the range of cells where you will be pasting the codes, right click and format to TEXT, then go and copy the product codes, then paste special > values into your new text cells.
