    hard coding formulae

    Hi

How do you 'hard code' a formula in excel?

So, no matter what you do elsewhere, formula refers to the same cells.

So as an example, say the formula in a cell is =$A$1*$C$1 and you insert a row in row 1, the formula stays as =$A$1*$C$1, rather than changing to =$A$2*$C$2.

    Thanks

    Dan
