    Conditional Formatting problem

Hey...I have a bit of a problem at work. A lot of people here use one particular shared file. One of the columns has a drop-down menu in each cell, with the entire row changing colour depending on the selection. Now they want to add in another option to this drop-down menu, with a different colour when selected. The current menu has 5 options, with 3 different colours depending on choice.
So I was wondering is it even possible to change the conditions? Does the fact that it is a shared file affect anything?

If anyone has any advice on how to add in the extra condition, it would be greatly appreciated.

excel only allows 3 conditions with conditional formatting. I think you would have to use VBA to get around it. Look at this site.

as far as it being shared as long as every one is actually using the same file and not a copy of the file you would just have to change it once. If you use VBA the security settings on the network produce a prompt every time you open the file.
