    Question Conerting Inches to centimeters

    Hey,
I have a huge excel file for an application guide, it has multiple columns of part dimensions. All in inches.
I was hoping their is a way to convert a huge block of cells to centimeters. I really would hate to go 1 at a time as the list is lengthy. Any help would be great!
    Thanks in advance!!

Enter 2.54 in a cell, copy it, select the cells containing inches, then do Edit > Paste Special, Multiply, Values.

Then you can clear the cell with the constant.

If the list just shows numbers [of inches] then you need to multiply by 2.54 to get centimeters. You can use a formula in an adjacent cell, e.g. if inches are in A1:A100 use this formula in B1 copied down

    =A1*2.54

...or you can multiply a whole range by 2.54 using this method:

put 2.54 in an empty cell
    copy that cell
select range to multiply, e.g. A1:A100
Edit > Paste Special > under "Operation" select "Multiply" > OK
