Adding and subtracting from a number

    Hello,

First of all, I have very very little experience with Excel, and English is not my first language, so excuse me if I use the wrong terminology.

Could someone tell me how to make a sheet with the option to add or subtract from a number. For example I have "120", I enter "45" in a field, and the quantity changes to "165".

There would be a whole list of numbers, and I would need a field to add or subract from each one. Is this possible? If not, what other option do I have in Excel (so I won't have to calculate and change all the numbers myself)?

    Thanks

Do you want an entire range of numbers to all be added or subtracted from this one number? Do you want them to update in place (e.g. Cell A1 had 10 in it and then the value of 6 was subtracted and now Cell A1 contains 4)?

Are your numbers in a row (horizontal) or column (up and down)?

    No.

Yes. If cell A1 has 10 and I enter in cell B1 for example 5, than I want cell A1 to contain 5 or 15.

Numbers will be in a row. I want to keep some stock updated. So the row is like this from left to right: cell A1: item name; cell B1: quantity of item; cell C1: a value that will add or subtract from cell B1. And there would be quite a few rows.

    Thanks

    Edit: correction

This will do what you need to do. It would work all the way down column C. The code is in the worksheet. Right click on the tab and "View Code" Use negative numbers if you are removing from inventory and positive if you are adding to inventory.

Let me know if you have any questions.
