Hi all,

Have this kind of strange behaviour in Excel 2003: two similar pcs with exactly same specs, apart that one has a faster CPU. The same file (6mb) saved on the slower machine takes 6 seconds, on the faster machine double that time.

By going in VBE, Tools, References and clicking the "funcres", the saving time of the slower machine goes down of few seconds. As I try to close the sheet, however, a message pops up saying the "Workbook is already referenced by another workbook and cannot be closed".

The strange thing is that the Analysis ToolPak is already properly loaded at startup and the funcres.xla is on already - this is kind of empirical fix which doesnt even work properly and besides I dont need two instances of funcres running at the same time. Already excluded that is due to an XP or hardware issue.

Has anyone ever come across an issue like this one?

Many thanks
