Excel 2007: Making a cell ask or tell?

    Hi,

I'm pretty new to the whole Excel deal.

I was wondering if there were a way I could make a cell ask or tell you what value to enter.

I'm making a logbook that has tons of entries, so I can more easily track certain times. I want certain cells to tell or ask me, for example, total "multi time". So I can enter my multi time for that flight. I need to make it ask me a question, or interrogative thing. Even a little popup type thing to say "hey, this cell wants you to put this certain value in here"

    Any help would be AWESOME!

    Thanks

Hi and welcome to the board.
If it's the same in 2007 as other versions, you might want to have a look at Data Validation. (Data Menu)

    Cheers
