I want to have my protected excel sheet so the user can only view A to AF, but I do not want to hide the other cells. A to AF requires the horizontal scroll so I can not simply lock the screen.
Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

Perhaps by setting the sheet's scroll area in the VBeditor?

Go Format > Cells > Protection .. take off locked click ok
now go Tools > Protection > Protect Sheet
Check off select locked cells
