    Scroll Lock

I want to have my protected excel sheet so the user can only view A to AF, but I do not want to hide the other cells. A to AF requires the horizontal scroll so I can not simply lock the screen.

Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

Perhaps by setting the sheet's scroll area in the VBeditor?

Press Alt + F11 > select the sheet name you want to control the Scroll (See link) > then on the properties tab look for Scroll Area. Note if the properties window isn't displayed you can locate it under the view menu. Then enter a range in the scroll Area

    E.g $A$1:$H$50

    Or see link

or with code. Right click sheet tab > select view code > paste in the below
