Conditional Formatting with more than 3 rules

please see attached spreadsheet, I have 5 rules listed in cells A1 to B5.

I would like to colour the cells in different colours between Columns B to D according to the status I put in column A. But conditional formatting only allows you to set 3 rules only, but I have 5 here, what can I do? thanks

thanks, I got the VB code from the 2nd website.

see attached spreadsheet, but I don't want to colour the cells in Column A, instead, I want cells from column B to D to be colour based on the choice I made in col A

how can I change the code to adjust for this?

Does anyone know how to sort this out? the code below basically colour the target cell (e.g. A10), but what I need to is colour the cells to the right of the target cells (e.g. B10, C10 and D10) based on the text in the target cell (e.g. A10).

    thanks

    Hello vickyho1008,

If you are only interested in cells A10:D10 then this macro should work for you. You will need to change the colors and the comparative text (A10 values) to what you want to use.

    1. Copy the macro using CTRL+C keys.
    2. Open your Workbook and Right Click on the Worksheet's Name Tab for the Worksheet the macro will run on.
    3. Left Click on View Code in the pop up menu.
    4. Paste the macro code using CTRL+V

Yes, kinda what I wanted, but I don't want A10 to work, but cells A10-A14
