Adding Numbers to Excell Column Problem

Im new to excel and I am lusing the latest version.
Im creating a column of numbers to add to a databse later with CSV.

However when I try to add '01' to my number list excel reverts it to 1 same for 09 it reverts to 9 etc

This must be simple but I dont have the time or experience to find how to get this to stay 01 ....09

What do I have to do?

Highlight the column and go to Format Cells>Number. Type in a custom format 00. That should fix it.

    • Select the cells that you want to have the two digit 01 format.
    • Right click and select Format Cells
    • On the Number tab, select custom and enter 00 in the Type field.
    • Click OK
