date field not updating concatenated results

Hi guys, very new here so please accept my ignorance, but here goes.

I am writing a spreadsheet with 2 lines of concatenated alpha numeric digits, the first line being non editable, and the secnd having various options to either select (drop down selector) or type into the fields (date for example), however I have found that whenever I enter a date into the from and to date fields these do not update the concatenated line (basically this is to give a user an insert sql script to add entries in an oracle database) and I am struggling to understand how I can make this field auto update.

The only thing I had thought of was creating a date selector, however i would need th date selector to be invisible until clicked and disappear again when a date is selected?

Anyone have any ideas?
