    Easy way to edit formulas?

I have maybe 300 formula edits to make spread across about 30 formulas in 30 cells stacked in a column.

I need to update the cell references in the formulas from dynamic to static, ie. B1 to $B$1, and so on.

Other than manually editing each reference in each formula one at a time, which is very time consuming, is there a quicker way any one knows to make all these changes?

    Thanks.

Thanks, but each formula has different cell references.

    A1, A2, A3, A4...B1, B2, B3, B4, etc.

    Good afternoon additude

If you are comfortable with macros, then this piece of code originated by Erik Van Geit should work OK for you :

Just uncomment out the lines that you want to use.

If you would rather not use macros, my add-in via the link below can take care of this, just make your choice and click OK. Once installed, just go to Ultimate > Formulae > Relative / Absolute Formulae.

    Thanks.

I will give the macro a try before uploading a sample worksheet.

Interesting Macro. However I do not think this macro likes nested IF statements. It kept returning #VALUE to the cell and deleting the formula.

I kept trying to test it by eliminating portions of the formula down to this formula:

Which the macro still replaced the contents of the cell with #VALUE so I just ended up manually editing all my formulas.

Any idea whay this macro was returning the #VALUE ?

    Thanks for the help.

    Thanks for the help.
