Lock the borders in a cell

    Hi all

I need to know if ther may be a way to lock the borders in a cell? We uses excel to do our scheduling and from week to week we just cut and past the name from one cell to another but all cell do not have the same border. So i would like to move only the name in the cell and not the fromat. Can this be Done?

    Thanks
    Gary

    Hi,

And welcome to the Forum. Please note that this is not a Programming question and is therefore in the wrong group. It would have been better in the Excel General group. I'll move it for you on this occasion, but please note for the future.

The answer to your Q. is to just use Edit..Copy..PasteSpecial Values.

    Thanks Richard
I'm sorry i was in the wrong group. I try what you said and it works but that will add 2 more clik to past2 the name (it may be the only way). We move about 150 job around on this form that would add 300 more clik. That about what we do now but we just have to reformat the border. I was look to fine a way (if there is one) to lock the borders.

VBA Noob, 6 years later that link is dead

I'm having the same issue but can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere. Is there another link or source for that info? Thanks!
