cells with the same answers

I created a simple formula (A1-B1) in Excel and received the correct answer. I then copied the formula down the row, a task I have done millions of times, however, this time the correct formula copied down the column, but answer from the first cell stayed the same. If I clicked on the cell and the clicked the enter button or the green check button the correct value would appear but I have to do this to every cell to refresh the formula. Please help I have 600 cells that have the wrong value and I don’t want to click the cell to refresh each one.

It sounds like your formula is $A$1-$B$1, you need to remove the $, Easiest way is to select all the formula cells, then go to Edit > Find, type in $, click the replace button (leave blank), then OK
