    changing cell colour based on true/false

    using the IF function, is it possible to change the colour of the cell depending on whether the return is true or false regardless of that those values are?

    Have you looked at conditional formatting yet?

    i dont see anything in the Rule Type list that i can imagine helping. Let me be more specific.

    Say i have a cell =IF((A1+10)>=TODAY(),B1+10,C1+10)

    Now in this particular cell it just so happens that occasionally B1+10 and C1+10 turn out to be the same value. i want to be able to use different cell colours to determine if the value was the result of a TRUE return or a FALSE return
