Not sure what you wish to count. If you want to know how many times the value 3 is found in the range A2:A18 try
and to find the number of occurence for 2 use A5 instead of A2 in the formula.Please Login or Register to view this content.

No, he's looking for something like an index of each block of numbers. A simple COUNTIF doesn't give him what he wants.

New quick method:
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.
Or you can use this way:
How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
