    preserving numbers

When I multiply col A x col B to get col C ... how do you send the file to someone you don't want to see col A, B, besides merely hiding col's?

When I delete col A, B col C defaults to zero's - the data disappears.

Like to maintain col C, and [even col D whenever col D is a function of col C]

Hi and welcome to the board,
one possibility is right click the range
    Copy
    Paste Special
    Values

    Another :
    select your range
Put the arrow of the mouse against the upper border of the selection
Keep the right mouse button depressed
Drag the selection to where you want ( might be the same place)
Release the button and a menu will appear
Select " Past here as values..."
    Voilą
