    Can't crack the formula

    Hi Guys,

    I'm simply trying to understand the syntax in this sort of formula so I can reference different cells.

    =INDIRECT("Sheet1!A"&((ROW()+13)/14)+1)

    Can anyone please explain what is happening with the ((ROW()+13)/14)+1) - why and what am I dividing by 14? And what does the +1 reference to?

    I look forward to your brilliance...

    A

    Hi,

    It let me copy a formula down one sheet, which pulled across information from another sheet, first column, one row at a time.

    Does that make sense?

    Regards,

    A
