Excel Add-In startup error prompt

Hello all, I have a bit of a problem, I created an add-in for excel worksheets, I later deleted the file but everytime I open MS Excel it prompts me notifying me that the file <filename>.xla cannot be found...the error prompt is annoying..how do I disable the add-in startup ?

Did you uncheck the box when going to Tools > Add-Ins?
