    capture monthly figures

    Hi,

Is there any way of resolving this problem. I have a figure which continually changes in a cell and at the end of each month i want to take a snapshot of that figure and put in a cell corresponding to that month. For example

    Figure1 45
    Figure2 45

Total 90 <<<<< This Figure is dynamic

Oct 90 <<<<<< This figure is copied at the end of each month from above
    Nov
    Dec

    Regards

    Sal

It would help if you could post an example worksheet with some notes as it's just about impossible to see what you are trying to achieve.

    capture monthly figures

    Hi,

Attached is the file, this is the closest i could get. Just need the part where it takes a snapshot of the figure end of the month and puts it in the corresponding cell.

The workbook doesn't help much either!

Your formulas can never work because TODAY() is volatile & will only be true today!
    Hope that helps.

Yeah using the today function was the best that i could come up with. But becasue the figures that i am enterting change frequently all i want do is

A.) when the end of the month is TRUE
B.) Take that figure and copy it to another cell
3.) Still continue to use the sum of those figures on a daily basis.

    Regards,

    Sal

I can't see where you intend getting the end of month data from. Post some actual data so we can understand the problem and suggest a solution. It probably won't be what you are assuming.
