    vlookup to exclude results.

I have employees listed by ID who have submitted reports which also have unique IDs. Some have submitted several reports. What I want is to be able to list all those reports in the same row so that I can do a mail merge with details.

Is there a way to do a vlookup which will exclude results which I specify? ie look up employee IDs but if the report ID is the same as one already in the row, look for the next matching employee ID and return the report ID for that record?

I've attached an example, hopefully the solution isn't too difficult because my actual spreadsheet has 25,000 rows...(but I'll take anything...)

    Thanks in advance!

I believe you are asking for a return of the most recent report number if there are multiple reports submitted for an employee. I believe the attached does this.

    Hello loubear,

    Welcome to the Forum!

I automated your workbook to combine all the reports belonging to a single employee in a single row. To run the macro, just click the button. The jpg files show the before and after results. Sheet2 has the original data, You can copy and paste it onto Sheet1 and run the macro to check the results. Here is the macro code...
