I'm not sure what I have clicked on, but I have no gridlines when entering data into my spreadsheet.
Anyone have the solution?

Hello Ronn62,
On the main menu click Tools > Options > View. Look for the check box Grid lines. Click the box to check it.
Sincerely,
Leith Ross
It has been clicked, or selected. I still have a blank spreadsheet
Hello Ronn62,
Save your data in that workbook and close Excel. Open Excel again. The new workbook should have grid lines. You can then copy the information from the saved workbook to the new one.

Leith Ross
stilll nothing, could it be that the lines, and the background are the same color? When I click and drag, I see lines.
Hello Ronn62,
Post your workbook and I'll take look at it. I am using Excel 2003 and also have Excel 2000. If you are using Excel 2007 then save a copy in 2003 format.
Sincerely,
Leith Ross
Is the problem specific to a single workbook only? or applies to all workbooks opened?
If it is former, perhaps attach the workbook here, for latter take screenshot and post here.
A blank one just saved now, and another that had gridlines previously.
XiaoWei,
It is everything I open, including files that had gridlines in the past
Do you get liones when opening?
Do you want a picture?
Hello Ronn62,
Both files open fine on my end. Have a look at this Microsoft article about Excel problems. It may help you fix yours. It looks like the problem is probably a corrupted tool bar.

XiaoWei
Could you explain how to do this?
Record a macro, then click any cell, then stop recording.
Then press F8, click on the recorded macro and click Edit
It will bring you to Visual Basic Editor, you will see something like this
Replace Range("A1").Select or similar statement with ActiveWindow.DisplayGridlines = TruePlease Login or Register to view this content.
Then close Visual Basic Editor and go back to Excel application, click F8 and click MacroName and Run.
Please be aware that it is NOT the solution.
