of the error this happens when i open excel program not a file also, i think it's affecting me on my formulas couse all the liks to formulas have been broken.
picture of error
The file "Personal.xls" is a hidden workbook for macro storage (not specific to one workbook). The hidden workbook opens on your first instance of opening up Excel. If you attempt to open another Excel application (e.g. outside the current Excel window), you'll get the message you describe. It is only the hidden Personal.xls file that is being opened as read only and should not affect your normal workbook. Does this help?

Thanks for the answer so do you think that this read only error is not messing arround with formulas on my worksheets, because that is happening now all my formulas are failing on me.
thanks
It won't affect your formulas at all.
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
BTW this only happens on two computers that uses the files, but in the third one the files are ok and the formulas work as they should.
Please Help me.
thanks
Are the formulas linked to external workbooks (and the other two computers cannot access those workbooks)?
Not necesary, some are in the sane workbook
Can't really tell you what is wrong with out seeing an example of the workbook. You can modify confidential info if necessary as long as the formulas remain the same.
