    Button auto deleted

I've a marco for users to read .txt data, then arrange the data into four pivottables in a single sheet. Such operations are accessed by users several times a day. However, the click button for the marco assigned, will be auto deleted after a period of time, sometimes a week & maybe a month, even though those objects are protected.

i guess that the deletion is upon refresh of pivottables but i've no idea how to fix it. Temporay, i copy & paste the button from my backup but it also be auto deleted after a period. would someone help for permanent fix.

    the excel version is 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3)

Are rows and columns being deleted?
Your button may end up getting squished into the edges of the worksheet

You might try changing the button Positioning property to either Move but don't size with cells or Don't move or size with cells.

    NO

Has been checked by "For next xxx in sheets.shapes", the object is really deleted.

it has been set as Don't move or size

Currently, a copy of the button is placed at a hidden sheet, and add a statment at the end of the marco to check if the button is deleted, it will then paste back. Do u think it's a excel bug?
