    IF and AND funtion

    Hello :D

Well my problem is that i have an assignment to do but i cannot find the correct formula for this. In my scenario it says:

As each vehicle has a specific cost to hire per day, the receptionist has to look up this cost, and then multiply it by the number of days it is being hired for. If the customer is hiring the vehicle for more than 7 days, the customer gets a 3.5% discount. VAT (17.5%) is also added to the sub-total. This then all added up to give the grand total.

Could you please help me ?

    Thanks.

1st step is to create the math formula on a piece of paper to clearly understand what you need to do

    OK, I'll start you off.......

Adding or subtracting a percentage is just basic maths.

If you want to give a 3.5% discount then you just multiply the price by 100% minus the discount
