Find/use part of a text string

Hi All,

This is something ive been trying to work out for a while now and its bugging me. It would make my time at work easier and i really should learn how to do it.

I get an excel sheet and each cell has alot of text in...

Example -

Emma UK £250.00 Often 26/11/08 12:30

And i need to get all the information into rows.

I usually copy and paste it but this takes ages...

What i would like is a formula which looks at each word in turn and tell me how many letters are in it...then i can use LEFT or RIGHT to work this out for me.

Any help would be good.
